Chinese New Year

Daddy checking in here :) Indeed, 黄金路's final episode was a disappointment. There was no logic and coherence (at least in terms of giving hope and gratification of justice to viewers), unlike many Hong Kong dramas, which are intelligent and have all angles covered. Good creativity, bad innovation. The show was promising.

CNY is one of those festivals I enjoy the most. It is a time when you could get together with your extended family, be it my side of the family, or Jac's side of the family, and beyond. I always feel that my nephews and nieces, and the children in our families, grew up too quickly! I hope and am confident that they would grow up to be fine men and women who would help me impart all the good values, intellect and acumen, and strength, to my beloved Shaun (aka 林恩辉). See you all at the gatherings :)

The highly rated Channel 8 year-end blockbuster 黄金路, The Golden Path ended last Monday. According to Channel 8's website, the show

Stars a sizzling cast of both veterans and upstarts including Li Nanxing, Chen Liping, Tay Ping Hui, Felicia Chin, Joanne Peh, Chew Chor Meng, Joey Feng, Cai Peixuan, Wang Yuqing, Huang Wenyong, Nat Ho, Edmund Chen, Zheng Geping and many more!
Liked the show very much (a must watch show during my confinement =P), although the ending was quite disappointing. I must say this is one of the better Chinese drama productions from MediaCorp. The current drama 缘之烩, Taste of Love is not as exciting.

The theme song of 黄金路 is also very nice. Sang by Singapore's very own Superband winner, 迷路兵.

My 'wants' list

My 2 yr old Casio Exilim z500 is dying - has lines all over the pictures. Have brought it to Casio to ascertain reparation costs. If it is too expensive, I'd rather get a new digital camera. I'm contemplating between a Casio again, Sony or Canon digi cam. Even though I have read many bad reviews (on cnet) about Casio's cameras, its beauty, slimness, assortment of colour & user-friendliness are simply hard to resist!

I love the colour!
Oh my gosh! This is so slimmmm!

Sony's camera are all pretty well-acclaimed with good photo quality; however, it doesn't seem as easy to operate & could be quite pricey too (I guess this is what you call '一分钱,一分货' - 'you get what you pay for').

Canon have some good reviews too. But they all look very boring. Haha..perhaps I'm too demanding.

Another on my 'wants' list is a new laptop. My current laptop is about 4 yrs old & it's time for an upgrade. Deary & I get frustrated when it seems like ages to load a page or open a document. Am 'aiming' for a alphine white Dell laptop or a white Sony Vaio.

So 'chio', isn't it?

The AMAZING Race

Indeed it lives up to its name. The Amazing Race is down to season 12! Have been faithfully watching all its seasons. Yes, I'm a fan of reality shows.

This season is now down to the final 3 teams - Ronald & Christina, Nicolas & Douglas and Rachel & TK. I'm rooting for Ronald & Christina. Though they, like any other team, have disagreements & quibbles now and then, I admire Christina as she is a smart and capable woman who is able to lead in challenges. Now I can't wait for the season finale that is showing next Monday at 9am! Go team Ronald & Christina!

Shaun's Man Yue

Shaun had his 1st month celebration over 2 days on 5th & 6th Jan. Was busy ordering cakes, buffet & organising his man yue the week before. Really quite a tiring job to upkeep this tradition of celebration - running around Sg to collect & distribute cakes, contacting friends & relatives, etc.. But it was all worth it, seeing old friends & family sending their well-wishes & blessings to us. Really thankful & grateful to everyone!

Shaun's cheeky & oh-so-adorable smile!

My first blog
Friday, January 11, 2008

Have been procrastinating for a long time to start a blog. Finally had the time to sit down & create one now that I'm on maternity leave. Decided to start a blog for our family - deary, me & our recent addition, Shaun.
